What this directory is
PJ Pet Boarding is an independent directory of pet boarding businesses operating in Petaling Jaya. It covers 268 listed services, from home-based pet sitters in Damansara Jaya to commercial kennels near Kelana Jaya and SS2. The directory exists to give pet owners in PJ one place to compare options without having to piece together information from scattered Facebook pages and forum threads.
We are not a booking platform and we are not affiliated with any boarding business. We do not take commissions on referrals.

This directory is for anyone in Petaling Jaya (or nearby Subang, Puchong, or Shah Alam) who needs to find a trustworthy place to leave a dog, cat, rabbit, or other small pet. It is also useful for people who have recently moved to PJ and do not yet have a local recommendation to rely on.
Where the listings come from
We pull publicly available business data, including names, addresses, contact details, and operating hours. We do not invent or manually enter this information. For each listing, we also synthesise sentiment from recent Google reviews to produce a score that reflects what customers have said. We do not republish review text, and we do not host reviews ourselves. Where a Google listing exists, we link directly to it so you can read the original reviews in full.
If you are a business owner and your address, phone number, or hours are wrong, you can submit a correction and we will update the factual record. What you cannot do is edit your own score, sentiment summary, or ranking. Those are derived from data, not submitted by you.
How rankings work
Every ranking in this directory is produced by a published rubric that weighs factors such as review sentiment, recency of activity, and completeness of business information. The full method is explained on the methodology page. No business can pay to improve its earned rank.
How sponsorship works
Some listings carry a “Sponsored” label. Sponsored placements appear in a clearly separated section, visually distinct from the ranked results. Paying for a sponsored placement does not change a business’s earned ranking, score, or sentiment summary in any way. If a sponsored business also ranks highly on merit, its organic rank appears exactly where the rubric places it, independent of the sponsorship.
You will always be able to tell the difference between a paid placement and an earned one.
Our commitment
We have no stake in which boarding service you choose. The goal is simply that the information here is accurate, the rankings are earned, and the labels are honest.

- Can a boarding business pay to get a higher ranking?
- No. Rankings are calculated from a published rubric using public data only. Sponsorship is a separate, clearly labelled placement and has no effect on earned rankings.
- Where do the reviews come from?
- We synthesise sentiment from Google reviews. We do not host or republish review text. Each listing links to the business's Google page so you can read reviews in full.
- My business details are wrong. How do I fix them?
- Contact us with the correct information and we will update the factual record. This covers things like address, phone number, and operating hours. Scores and rankings cannot be edited by the business.
- Does PJ Pet Boarding cover areas outside Petaling Jaya?
- The directory focuses on PJ, but some listings near the borders of Subang, Puchong, and Shah Alam are included where the business primarily serves PJ residents.
